˜Nobody is Innocent”… Musa Tarawally Sends Coded Warning To President Bio
SLPP flagbearer aspirant Alhaji Musa Tarawally has issued a strong message to President Julius Maada Bio, claiming that he possesses extensive information about developments in Sierra Leone and warning that “nobody is innocent.”
Tarawally, who has recently been at odds with the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) leadership following disciplinary action by the party’s National Chairman, Jimmy Batilo Songa, said his background and experience within the security sector have given him access to a wide network of information.
“Nobody is innocent. There is nothing that happens in this country that is hidden from me. I have every information, and I want you to know that I have worked with the security sector and I have a network,” Tarawally said.
He disclosed that he had already forwarded information concerning what he described as actions taken against him by the SLPP leadership, particularly Chairman Jimmy Batilo Songa, to President Bio.
Tarawally urged the President to intervene and take action on the matter, warning that failure to address his concerns could have consequences for the relationship between them.
He further said he remained committed to what he described as the liberation of Sierra Leone, arguing that citizens are suffering while people continue to die.
“I will do whatever it takes to save this country. People are dying and citizens are suffering,” he said.
Tarawally also appeared to draw a distinction between himself and other political figures, saying he would not allow himself to be intimidated or treated in the manner he alleged had happened to others.
“I am not like JJ Saffa and others that you used boys to intimidate. I am not a low-profile person,” he declared.
He further claimed that he played a role in President Bio’s entry into the SLPP, recalling that at the time, Bio allegedly did not have the opportunity to meet former President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah or gain access to the SLPP headquarters.
“It is me that brought you to the SLPP at a time when you did not have the opportunity to see former President Kabbah and enter the SLPP office,” Tarawally said.
His remarks come amid an escalating dispute between him and the SLPP leadership over his political status and the treatment he says he has received from the party.
