A Sierra Leonean based in the United States, Abubakarr Imran Conteh, together with members of the A&H Organization, has donated food items and cash to residents of the King George VI Memorial Home as part of efforts to support vulnerable people in society.
Located in Grafton on the outskirts of Freetown, the King George VI Memorial Home provides care and shelter for elderly people who are often destitute or without family support. The institution also assists younger vulnerable individuals within the community.
Presenting the donation on Saturday, 9 May 2026, Abubakarr Imran Conteh said he was moved to support the home after witnessing the difficult conditions faced by many of its residents.

“When I visited the home, I realized that many people are living there without family support. I felt the need to make this donation so they can feel comforted knowing that even if they do not have family members around, there are still people willing to support them,” he said.
He encouraged the residents to remain hopeful despite their challenges, assuring them that their circumstances would not last forever.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the institution, senior staff member Roland Kanu expressed appreciation to the donors and commended the humanitarian gesture demonstrated by the Sierra Leonean philanthropist and the A&H Organization.
“We deeply appreciate your support and kindness. We also encourage you to continue helping because many of the people here still need assistance,” he stated.
The donation event concluded with prayers and group photographs involving staff members, donors, and residents of the home.
