No More Delays! Chief Justice Draws the Line in Constitutional Case

Sierra Leone’s Supreme Court has struck out a motion filed by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice challenging the court’s jurisdiction to hear the case concerning the Constitutional Amendment (2025) Bill.
Chief Justice Komba Kamanda warned that no further applications would be entertained if they risked delaying the proceedings, emphasising that all parties would be given equal opportunities to be heard.
The court’s decision marks a significant procedural development in the ongoing legal battle over the proposed constitutional amendment, with the case set to proceed under the court’s directions.
