A tragic incident has occurred at the FB Group construction site in Lungi, where a mudslide reportedly buried four workers who were installing an underground pipe.
The workers were quickly rescued and taken to Lungi Hospital for emergency treatment. However, according to sources, two of the workers died from injuries sustained in the incident. The deceased are reportedly one Sierra Leonean and one Senegalese national.
The two surviving workers have since been transferred to Freetown for intensive medical care.
FB Group is currently undertaking construction works at the International Conference Centre complex in Lungi, including the associated hotel project.
The company has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
