Jagaban Accuses APC Executive of Blocking Rehabilitation of APC Office in Makeni
Flagbearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has accused the party’s executive of denying him access to rehabilitate the APC Regional Office in Makeni.
Speaking on AYV’s State of the Nation programme, hosted by journalist Umara Fofanah, Jagaban claimed that he had committed US$200,000 towards the rehabilitation of the party’s dilapidated regional office in Makeni.
According to him, the rehabilitation initiative encountered difficulties after the party executive allegedly denied his team access to the office and the necessary documentation.
“I have laid down $200,000 to rehabilitate the APC Regional Office in Makeni,” Jagaban said.
He explained that the engineer assigned to the project had requested the architectural drawings and other relevant documents relating to the party office to properly assess the structure and determine the areas requiring rehabilitation.
Jagaban said the documents were necessary for the engineer to understand the layout and structural condition of the building before commencing work.
He further alleged that, despite his efforts to support the rehabilitation of the party’s property, the APC executive prevented him from gaining the access required to proceed with the project.
The flagbearer aspirant said the rehabilitation was intended to restore the office and improve its condition for the benefit of party members and supporters in the Northern Region.
Jagaban made the allegations while discussing national and political issues on AYV’s State of the Nation programme.
The APC executive has not, in the statement provided, responded to Jagaban’s allegations.
