Masika and Rogbere Junction Youths Hail Ady Macauley as Future Leader

Jubilant scenes broke out in Masiaka and Rogbere Junction, Port Loko District, in Sierra Leone’s North-West, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, as scores of young people thronged the streets to welcome Ady Macauley — a man many believe is destined to become the next flagbearer and president of Sierra Leone.
Macauley, a former Anti-Corruption Commissioner, was travelling from Port Loko when he made an impromptu stop in the two communities. News of his presence spread rapidly, and within minutes, youths from diverse backgrounds gathered, chanting his name and praising his past service. Many recalled his tenure as Commissioner, describing him as a leader who worked tirelessly to uphold integrity and who continued to engage with the people even after leaving office.
Residents spoke of how Ady Macauley had been approachable and responsive during his public service, winning the respect of both young and old. The warm reception in Masiaka and Rogbere Junction reflected the growing grassroots support he enjoys, with some attendees saying he embodies the kind of leadership the country needs.
