Freetown East Journalists Association Mourns the Passing of Emmanuel I. Kamara

The Freetown East Journalists Association (FEJA) is deeply saddened by the passing of one of its most respected and dedicated members, Emmanuel I. Kamara.
To many within the journalism fraternity, Emmanuel was far more than a colleague. He was a dependable friend, a trusted adviser, an accomplished media professional, and a humble leader who devoted his time, experience, and passion to the growth of FEJA and the advancement of journalism in Sierra Leone.
As the former Secretary General of the Freetown East Journalists Association, Emmanuel I. Kamara played a pivotal role in strengthening the Association, fostering unity among journalists, and promoting the highest standards of ethical, professional, and responsible journalism. His commitment to the welfare of journalists and the development of the profession earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues across the country.
Throughout his distinguished media career, Emmanuel served with dedication in several respected media institutions. He was the former Publisher and Managing Editor of Rolling Stone Newspaper, where he was widely recognized for his fearless pursuit of truth and unwavering commitment to independent journalism. He also served as Production Manager at Tumac Radio and Deputy Editor of Awareness Times Newspaper, making invaluable contributions to the growth of each institution.
Emmanuel firmly believed that journalism should serve as a catalyst for positive change. He generously mentored young journalists, freely shared his knowledge and experience, and inspired many through his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service. His legacy will continue to live on in the countless journalists whose lives and careers he touched.
On behalf of the Executive and the entire membership of the Freetown East Journalists Association, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and the entire media fraternity during this period of profound grief.
We pray that Almighty God grants them strength, comfort, and the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
