APC Joins ECSL Political Parties Liaison Engagement

The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) convened a meeting of the Political Parties Liaison Committee (PPLC) on Thursday 28th May,2026, bringing together representatives of political parties and key electoral stakeholders in a renewed effort to strengthen dialogue, collaboration, and stakeholder participation in the electoral process.
The engagement focused on issues relating to democratic governance, electoral preparedness, and the promotion of peaceful, transparent, and credible elections in Sierra Leone.
According to ECSL outreach communications, the meeting provided a platform for constructive discussion among political actors and reaffirmed the importance of continuous engagement in sustaining electoral integrity and public confidence in the democratic process.

The All People’s Congress (APC) participated in today’s session, a development ECSL described as a positive step toward reinforcing inclusive participation in the electoral process. The Commission noted that the party’s presence signaled its commitment to re-engaging with electoral stakeholders and strengthening collaboration with ECSL.

The Chief Electoral Commissioner and Chairman reportedly welcomed the APC’s participation and publicly commended the renewed engagement, describing it as an encouraging development for democratic dialogue and national cohesion.
The meeting ended with a shared call for continued cooperation among political parties and electoral institutions to ensure peaceful and credible elections in Sierra Leone.
