All-Stars SierraLeone Stands With Vida After Public Sexual Assault Revelation

The Union of Musicians All-Stars Sierra Leone has publicly declared its solidarity and support for musician Vida following her emotional public testimony about being a victim of sexual assault and rape.
In a statement issued by the union, ALL-STARS praised Vida for what it described as a courageous decision to speak out despite the fear, stigma, and public scrutiny often associated with survivors of sexual violence.
The union stressed that no woman should ever be subjected to violence, abuse, or forced intimacy under any circumstance, while strongly condemning all forms of sexual and gender-based violence in society.
ALL-STARS further called on the public to respond to Vida’s testimony with empathy, dignity, and humanity rather than judgment, mockery, or harmful speculation.
“To Vida, we say: you are not alone. Your voice matters, your pain is valid, and your truth deserves to be heard with respect,” part of the statement read.
The union also reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for safer environments within both society and the entertainment industry, emphasizing the need for women to live, work, and express themselves freely without fear of abuse, exploitation, or intimidation.
The statement has since sparked conversations online, with many people commending the union for publicly supporting survivors of sexual violence and encouraging more awareness around issues of abuse and victim protection.
