The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has issued a directive ordering all political parties to remove every banner, poster, and other campaign materials related to their internal elections.
In a press release dated July 4th, 2025, the Commission emphasized that ongoing internal party elections should not be treated as part of the national election process. Consequently, all campaign materials must be confined strictly within party offices nationwide.
The Commission further warned of potential repercussions for parties that fail to comply with this directive.
“Failure to adhere to this instruction will leave the Commission with no option but to ask the Sierra Leone Police and Local Government Councils across the country to remove those campaign materials,” the release stated.
This notice is directed to all political parties’ members, leaders, and candidates contesting internal party positions.
