Dura Plast & Ferro Group Ignites Industrial Momentum in Sierra Leone

A new chapter in Sierra Leone’s industrial expansion has begun with the launch of Dura Plast & Ferro Fabric Company, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility set to produce high-quality iron rods and plastic materials for both domestic and regional markets.
The company has formally announced its presence in Sierra Leone, pledging to conduct transparent, competitive, and service-oriented business operations. With a strong emphasis on excellence, Dura Plast & Ferro Fabric aims to introduce new benchmarks in product quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, the Company’s General Manager, Mr. Mohammed H. Bility, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to ethical business practices and market fairness.
He stated:
“We are here to do good business. Our goal is to provide Sierra Leone with the best iron rods and plastic products available in the Mano River Union. We welcome competition — but we insist on fairness. Compete with quality, not shortcuts.”
The company also presented its production timeline:
• Plastic manufacturing is scheduled to begin in December 2025.
• Iron rod production will commence in March 2026.
In pursuit of transparency and fairness, Dura Plast & Ferro Fabric announced that all products will be sold by tonnage, rather than by kilo or size — a practice designed to ensure consistent value and prevent market manipulation.
Calling on the Government of Sierra Leone to help maintain a level playing field for all market actors, the company stressed the need for policies that encourage fair competition and support broader industrial growth.
Expressing strong confidence in its product quality, the company pointed out that only one competitor in the Mano River Union — based in Ivory Coast — matches its production standards. Dura Plast & Ferro Fabric affirmed its readiness to contribute meaningfully to Sierra Leone’s economic development, job creation, and industrial resilience.
