GoSL Declared KPYO Director Wanted
The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) had declared Ibrahim Turay Wanted for allegedly being one of organizers of the August 10, 2022 Insurrection.
Ibrahim Turay is the Director of a youth led organization known as the Kissy Progressive Youths Organization (KPYO) in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Some of the functions of KPYO include not only to fight or advocate for disadvantaged young people, but to also bring the youths together through organized activities. Turay was one of the key players that mobilized the youths to protest against the ruling Government for the welfare and the unending economic hardship in the country on August 10 which resulted into bloodbath as a result of the fearless protest mounted against the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Government of President Bio.
After the bloody protest which claimed lives and properties, the GoSL declared the KPYO Director, Ibrahim Turay and many other organizers wanted regarding their participations in the process.
Since then, the Government of Sierra Leone has declared Ibrahim Turay wanted by scouting for his whereabouts, and this has put his life at risk as government officials continues to search for him.
