Indian Community Provides Medical Support To 3Yrs Old Child

 The Indian Community in Sierra Leone has provided $21,000 as medical bills and other expenses to a 3 years old Child, Alhaji Lamrana Jalloh, who is suffering from a life-threatening disease to do a surgery in Indian.

The 3 Years old Child has been diagnosed of heart problem by some medical experts who came into Sierra Leone at the expense of Choithram Hospital to offer free medical treatments to SierraLeoneans.

Speaking at the Press Conference held on Friday 22nd March, 2023 at the Choithram Headquarters in Freetown, Representative of the Indian Community, Harish Agnani, said they invited Journalists to inform them about the financial supports provided by the Indian Community to one Alhaji Lamrana Jalloh to do a high-risk surgery in India for a life-threatening disease.

He said Alhaji Lamrana Jalloh has been diagnosed for heart problem by some medical experts who came from to Sierra Leone to offer free medical treatment to SierraLeoneans, and during the course of the medical check-up, the experts advised  the child to do high-tech surgery in Indian to recover from his ailment.

In light of the above, he said: “We are gathering here today to inform all that the Indian Community has supported the 3 yrs old child, Alhaji Lamrana Jalloh with $21,000 for medical bills and other expenses in Indian”, the representative of the Indian Community, Harish Agnani revealed, and giving a breakdown of the $21,000 for which $16,000 were utilised for hospital bills, $4,000 for visas, accommodation and other expenses for both the Child and his Mother to travel to India and $1,000 for ‘pocket money.

Harish Agnani furthered that the Indian Community decided to render support to the Child on the basis of Fatmata Jalloh(the child mother) approached and appeals for support to one of their members, Mr. Belani.

“The Mother of the Child, Fatmata Jalloh pleaded with Mr. Belani for support for her child to undergo high tech surgery in Indian… Belani conveyed the message to the Indian Community and they deemed it fit to support the Child”, he added, underscoring that all of the expenses for the child and his mother to travel to Indian and do the surgery was done through the contributions of members of the Indian Community.

He said the surgery is a high-tech surgery that takes a long period of time and prayed for it to be done successfully and also wishing the child to come back hale and hearty.

Devrav Budwani of Guru Nanak Enterprise, Rohit, Indian Mercantile Association, Manoj Rajwani, Rejesj Belani who are a member of the Indian Community said they are always in the position to help SierraLeoneans.

Rajesh Belani explained how his father was approached by the mother of the child, Fatmata Jalloh, for help, saying that during that process they felt sorry for the child and decided to convey the message to the Indian Community who decided to render helping hands.

The Mother of the child, Fatmata Jalloh, in an emotional mood, extended appreciations to the Indian Community for the support and prayed for a successful surgery for her child.
