Ambassador Walton Ekundayo Gilpin has continued to receive meritorious awards for his selfless service and outstanding contributions to nation building. One of the latest awards received by him came from the United Methodist Men’s Organization for his immense contribution to the banking sector and the nation at large. The Award was received on behalf of Dr. Ekundayo Gilpin by the Rokel Bank Head of Marketing, Mrs Mariama Jujua on Sunday 9th July, 2023.
During the presentation of the award, members of United Methodist Men’s Organization wasted no time to applaud Dr. Gilpin for his philanthropist role and contributions to the development of SierraLeone.
While awarding him, the United Men’s Organization catalogued the unrivalled achievements of Dr. Gilpin RC Bank which has helped to shape the banking sector and position it to higher height. “since his appointment as MD od Rokel Bank, Ekundayo Gilpin has brought in innovations that are very instrumental thus making banking easier and more accessible to more SierraLeoneans, than ever before in our banking history”, said the United Men’s Organization, further stating the immense contributions of Dr Gilpin to the country which is second to none. The Managing Director of Rokel Commercial Bank, Dr. Gilpin, is no stranger to awards. Throughout his lifetime, he has been nominated and received numerous awards, the latest being the U.S. Congressmen Award for his contribution to the growth and development in the banking industry. Gilpin has on numerous occasions been invited by prominent educational and other institutions to give lectures and proffer advice and solutions to national and global phenomena that are linked to banking and financial services. Dr. Gilpin is a household name both in SierraLeone and abroad and has been admired by his colleagues who rely on him for his pragmatic and all- sweeping contributions to the development of the financial sector of the country, and also recognised for his contributions to the banking sector over the years while he worked in a range of financial institutions both in SierraLeone and abroad. It is no secret that Dr. Gilpin is a trend setter when it comes to to innovation.
