The Minister of Internal Affairs, David Panda Noah, has confirmed during the launch of the new passport that it meets international standards. “The New passport has all the security features with higher grade chip(SLE 78 Chip) that replaced the P5”, said the Minister  of Internal Affairs. The Minister also allayed the fear of SierraLeoneans that Netpage, the company responsible for the printing out of the passport, has all what it takes to produce quality passports for its customers.

On behalf of the Government, the minister maintained that  he had renegotiated the passport contract and had also visited the office of the manufacturer.

Based on what he understands, the Minister said, Netpage will open stations in New York, London, Bo and Makeni to provide quality service to customers in the near future, stating how the company is pouring millions of dollars into the business.

Minister Panda Noah also confirmed that passport has never been sold above $100 and described the five million Leones on the sale of an emergency passport as ‘false’.

He assured fellow countrymen that they had invested so much on the E-Pass port that meets CEDEAO standard.
