Tandeen Fishing Company has strongly denied false reports circulating on social media that link the company to the Agios Bessetere, a vessel recently implicated in alleged illicit activities, including the suspected transportation of cocaine discovered at Hamilton Beach.
In an official press statement dated July 25, 2025, the company categorically refuted any association with the vessel.
“Tandeen Fishing has no affiliation, ownership, or operational ties to the Agios Bessetere. These claims are entirely false and lack any factual basis,” the company stated.
Management believes the misinformation is a deliberate attempt to damage the company’s reputation.
“This false narrative is a malicious attempt to impugn the integrity of our company,” the statement continued.
Tandeen Fishing emphasized its longstanding commitment to integrity, professionalism, and strict compliance with legal and ethical standards. The company warned that such baseless allegations not only damage its image but are also intended to erode public trust.
The company strongly condemned the report as a fabrication and called on the media outlet responsible to retract the story and issue a formal public apology.
“Failure to do so will leave us with no choice but to pursue legal action to protect our reputation and hold those responsible accountable for defamation,” the company affirmed.
Tandeen Fishing also urged the public to seek accurate information from verified sources, such as the Ministry of Fisheries and the Maritime Administration, which oversee all fishing vessel operations. These institutions are readily accessible and equipped to provide factual clarity on such matters.
The company reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to lawful and ethical operations.
“Our vessels are fully licensed, operate under strict supervision, and comply with all regulatory safety and environmental standards,” the statement said.
Tandeen Fishing concluded by rejecting the false allegations in the strongest terms and pledged to take all necessary measures to defend its reputation.
“We trust that the public will recognize the truth and disregard these malicious claims.”
