SECOND BATCH OF THE BUDAPEST–BAMAKO–FREETOWN RALLY ARRIVES IN SIERRA LEONE

The second batch of participants in the iconic Budapest–Bamako–Freetown Rally has officially entered Sierra Leone through the Gbalamuya border in Kambia District.

A total of 492 adventurers driving 203 vehicles, including motorbikes, are making their way into the country ahead of their overnight stop at the scenic Bureh Beach. The atmosphere at the border was vibrant as officials warmly received the convoy, marking another proud moment for Sierra Leone as host of the rally’s historic Freetown finish.

After their overnight stay at Bureh Beach, the rally teams will proceed to the grand finish line event at Gigibonta Car Park, Lumley Beach in Freetown on Friday, where an exciting reception awaits.

Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, the National Tourist Board, and other key Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) are on the ground to ensure a smooth arrival and deliver a memorable Sierra Leonean welcome as the nation prepares to celebrate the successful completion of this remarkable intercontinental journey.
