Samura Kamara Vows to Die for Electoral Justice in Sierra Leone

Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, the 2023 presidential candidate of Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC), has declared his unwavering commitment to the fight for electoral justice, stating he is prepared to die for the cause.
Addressing a group of APC supporters recently, Kamara strongly condemned the acquisition of political power through violence, emphasizing that leadership should never come at the cost of innocent lives. “I will continue to fight for the Electoral Justice cause till death,” he declared.
His remarks come amid ongoing political tensions and legal challenges following the controversial 2023 presidential elections. The APC and its supporters have consistently rejected the legitimacy of the results, citing allegations of electoral irregularities and lack of transparency.
Kamara’s statement is expected to stir further debate around electoral reforms, political accountability, and national unity in Sierra Leone.
