Following the mediation role played by some religious leaders to broker peace between the APC and SLPP over the disputed June 24 elections, Samura Kamara in reaction to such, has blasted ‘men of God’, who according to him, has failed to preach the truth, but instead running around to deliberately preaching peace.
“In the face of such deliberate institutional failure and daylight fraud, others, including some men of God are busy running around desperately preaching peace. I am compelled to state that many of these ‘Men and women’ know the truth but it is clear that they are not bold enough to speak it where it should be”, Samura said in his twitter page, and urges for the fear of God to resurrect and prevail.
It could be recalled that after the announcement of June 24 elections in which President Julius Maada Bio was declared winner of the elections, Samura Kamara expressed his doubt on the results, saying that the mandate of the people has been stolen in favour of the SLPP.
He said “the elections that unfolded before us was marred by a troubling lack of transparency”, noting that the very foundation which should be built on trust and integrity has been shaken.
He said the citizens of this country deserve the right to fair and honest electoral system- one that upholds the sacred principles upon which our nation was established, but alas the people find themselves in a situation where their true voices have been cast aside.
