Samura Kamara Drops Bombshell

In his address to the nation on Friday, APC 2023 Flagbearer aspirant, Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, emphasized that the fight for electoral justice remains “alive, real, and ongoing,” further insisting that no force—be it “power, propaganda, or delay”—can derail the quest for a rightful and peaceful outcome.
He recounted the June 24, 2023 elections as a defining moment when Sierra Leoneans chose hope—but were met with irregularities, and urging citizens to respond with dignity and democracy and not despair.
Kamara reiterated that the Electoral Justice campaign is grounded in legal and diplomatic channels, and not violence.
“Our path is not one of violence, incitement or chaos. It is one of conviction, courage, and commitment to our rights,” he stated.
He noted that global partners—including Africa, the U.S., and Europe—are aware of the situation and “continue to press quietly but firmly” for accountability and also dismissed ECOWAS Chairmanship by President Bio as “routine rotation, not an endorsement”.
While calling for unity and patience, Kamara made a heartfelt plea to Sierra Leoneans to remain steadfast, encouraging them to “hold on just a little longer”—with belief that justice will ultimately prevail for generations to come.
Pundits considered Kamara’s dedication and unwavering commitment to electoral justice fight to have been leaned on international backing.
However, quite recently, an APC iconic figure, Diana Konomanyi, described Samura Kamara’s Electoral justice fight as “false gospel’’ and therefore urging him to tell the truth about Electoral Justice to the people of Sierra Leone.
