RCBank Receives Trophy For Winning Inter-Bank Football Gala
RCBank has not only proved itself as one of the leading financial institutions in SierraLeone but also make a history in football by winning the Inter-Bank football gala organized by the SierraLeone Commercial Bank in celebration of their 50th Anniversary.
The Journey for RC Bank to be crown as the winner of the tournament was a tough road but the Bank was able to cross and conquered all their opponents and make it to final where they met and defeated the Union Trust Bank through a penalty kick. The match between RCBank and UTB was like a titans but RCbank was able to overcome them and thus winning the trophy. The match ended with a goal apiece and was settled by post-match penalties which RCBank won by 5 goals to 4, with RC Bank’s goalkeeper Lamin Kabia of the Admin Department saving UTB’s last penalty kick to give the trophy to RCBank.
During the presentation of the trophy to the Managing Director of the Bank on Monday 13th March, 2023, several accolades and encouraging statements were made by Dr. Gilpin in appreciation of the bank’s football team and considered the team’s effort to be groovy.
The atmosphere was dominated with celebrations from staff of the Bank.
Special gratitude and extol were given to RCBank’s goalkeeper Lamin Kabia who won the Best goalkeeper of the tournament.
