The International Mediators comprising of ECOWAS, Commonwealth and AU have arrived on Sunday 8th October,2023 and is expected to hold a separate consultation with both the Government and the All People’s Congress on Friday 13th October,2023.
According to information, both parties have agreed to seat on a roundtable with the mediation Team and iron out their differences.
However, the mediation dialogue will be held from Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th October,2023 at the Ballroom in Bintumani Hotel, Aberdeen, Freetown.
During the mopping up of the peace talks, the U.S Ambassador to SierraLeone’s, Bryan Hunt, engaged the leadership of the APC and emphasized on the need for constructive participation to enhance democratic reforms that will benefit the people of Sierra Leone.
Samura Kamara in his tweet appealed for unity among citizens regardless of their political, tribal, or regional affiliations. “Amidst our current political stalemate, I humbly call upon all true and loving SierraLeoneans to unite in prayer”, said Samura Kamara.
