Nurudeen Bello Becomes First Sierra Leonean to Own Stake in U.S. Soccer Club

Nurudeen Bello, founder and CEO of Ameibra SL Limited—a multinational corporation—has made history as the first Sierra Leonean to own a share in a professional soccer club in the United States.
Bello is now a part-owner of Orange County Soccer Club, which competes in the Western Conference of the USL Championship, the second tier of professional soccer in the U.S.
Orange County Soccer Club, based in Irvine, California, was originally founded in 2010 as the Los Angeles Blues. Since then, it has rebranded and established itself as a competitive side in the USL Championship, a league known for its development of talent and growing fan base.
This milestone marks a proud moment not only for Bello personally but also for Sierra Leone, as it signifies increasing African representation in global sports ownership and business leadership.
