NASSIT DG Extols Sewa Ground Market

During the site inspection of the Sewa Grounds Market by the Minister of Trade and other key stakeholders, the Director General of NASSIT, Mohamed Fuad Daboh, expressed his satisfaction on the significant progress made so far in the construction work of the Sewa Grounds market. He said with the work already done so far at the Market, he is of the strong conviction that the market will be completed soon and open for business.

“There is significant progress made so far in the construction work of the Sewa Grounds Market which I want to applaud the contractors for”, the NASSIT DG maintained, further noting that based on his assessment so far, he is pretty sure that the market will be completed soon and open for business.

According to him, the market is an investment of NASSIT and that such investment is business model type facilities that are not going to be free of charge.

“When the Market is completed, it is going to be managed by Sengo group who is responsible to rent the facilities for business purposes”, he added, revealing that the market will house different types of businesses.

In his submission, the Project Manager of NASSIT, Abel Onomake, shed light on the various lots of the Sewa Grounds Market, which he said, are designed to give to the people of SierraLeone an ultra-modern market.

He also spoke about the high-grade facilities of the Market ranging from Market stalls, Restaurants, Warehouses, Police post, Toilet facilities, fire station and many more.

Giving his holistic remarks, he described the market as an ultra- modern market with several facilities which makes it to be among the best markets in West Africa.
