Looting at Koidu Holdings …Properties carted away by Irate Youth

Report reaching Voice of Salone Newspaper on Wednesday that the concession of Koidu Limited situated at Tankoro Chiefdom, Kono District, has been attacked by irate youths and properties carted away.

Impeccable sources state that 3 vehicles, freezers, Desktop, Laptop computers and other valuables have been carted away by irate youth in alleged collision with security personnel attached to the company.

The residential quarters of Experts have been specifically targeted in addition to vehicles, mining and other Equipment.

This comes after the company laid off 1,000 of its workers after the First Lady led a Protest against Koidu for improved staff Welfare in the Koidu Municipality.
