Labour Ministry Urges Employers to Register or Renew Workplace Registration
In a public notice issued by the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security on Monday 8th January, 2024, the Ministry urges all employers across the country to register or renew the registration of their workplaces. This public advisory emphasizes the legal obligation of employers under section 21 of the Employment Act No.15 of 2023 to register their workplaces with the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security.
The Ministry also calls on prospective owners of workplaces including factories to either register or renew the registration of their establishments and strongly encourage all employers to fully corporate with the Ministry directive.
