Jagaban Drops Bombshell Over APC Membership Controversy

By Kelvin Jay
Leading All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer aspirant, Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has dismissed claims questioning his membership status in the party, stating unequivocally that he is a duly registered and fully paid-up member whose records can be independently verified.
Speaking on the matter, Jagaban warned against any attempt to undermine or challenge his membership, stressing that he would not hesitate to defend his political rights within the party.
“If they mess with me, they will see my raft,” he declared, signalling his readiness to pursue the issue to its logical conclusion if provoked. While noting that he is a Muslim and a man of peace, Jagaban emphasized that he would firmly resist any action he considers unjust, appealing to party stakeholders not to push him down that path.
He further reiterated that his ultimate focus is not internal conflict but the restoration of the APC to State House, arguing that the party’s return to power in the 2028 general elections is critical to the future of the country.
According to Jagaban, continued governance by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) would worsen the nation’s socio-economic challenges. He warned that failure to dislodge the ruling party could lead to further national decline.
“Our country cannot afford another term of misrule,” he said, adding that Sierra Leone would continue to “perish and go down the drain” if the APC does not reclaim leadership.
Jagaban maintained that his political ambition is driven by a commitment to rescue the nation, rebuild public confidence in governance, and restore hope among Sierra Leoneans through disciplined and people-centred APC leadership.
