“I’ll be the Next President of SierraLeone”…Samura Kamara Assures APCians
While addressing supporters, sympathisers and well wishers of the APC at the Party headquarters office on Tuesday 3rd October,2023, the APC Leader, Dr. Samura Kamara, has assured that he will be the next President, stating that when he shall have taken the mantle of leadership he will address the abject poverty and the unbearable rise in the cost of living. “Today the cost of our currency is on free fall… and the cost of living are rising exponentially since 2018”, he said, adding that upon assumption as the next President he will rebrand the face of the country and positioned it for the betterment of all.
He, therefore, described the victory claimed by President Bio as electoral coup against the will of the people.
“What President Bio and his Government are claiming is not victory…it is a coup against the will of the people. We wholeheartedly reject this blatant coup and usurpation of our common will… We cannot accept an illegitimate takeover of Government by force of arms of fraudulent means. We cannot allow ourselves to be subjected to a premature end to our hard-earned democracy by a president and a regime that want to retain power despite an abysmal five years record of bad governance, unprovoked human rights violations, several univestigated extrajudicial killings, superintending an economy that is now on the brinks of an irreparable collapse and massive electoral rigging just to retain power”.
He concluded by commending the grassroots of the party for their unwavering support bestowed upon him, noting “You are my strength; you have kept me going; I am not and I will never ever betray your trust. We are fighting a good fight till the end”.
