Heritage Newspaper Executive Editor To Participate in Africa Smart Summit in Kigali

Dynamic, Pragmatic and hardworking Executive Editor of the Heritage Newspaper, Robert Kondema Kargbo, who also doubles as Commissioner for NaTCA, that is charged with the responsibility to supervise and develop policies of the aforementioned entity has been formally invited to participate in Africa Smart and Sustainable Cities investment summit which is scheduled to take place in Kigali on the 6th -8th September, 2023. The focus of the summit is  to developing  a roadmap on how to invest in smart and sustainable cities in the future.

In his extension of invitation to the Heritage Newspaper, the Chief Curator, Jean Philbert Nsengimana, said how he is extremely honored “to extend this Invitation to Heritage Newspaper to participate and support the organization of the inaugural edition of the Africa Smart and Sustainable Cities Investment Summit (ASCIS) in Kigali, September 6th to 8th 2023”.

The event is organized by Dala Africa in partnership with the Government of Rwanda, UN HABITAT and Smart Africa with the theme: “Leadership for Smart Cities: Investing in Inclusive and Sustainable Cities of the Future”.

The Summit will provide some comprehensive details featuring Smart Mayors Forum, a Technopoles Leaders roundtable, an Innovation Village, an Exhibition, the launch of Africa Smart Cities Index, a Deal Room, a Geospatial Track, a Scientific Component with research papers presentation, and numerous activities.

The Primary aims of the Summit is to bring together leading smart cities and technology leaders, policy makers, investors, experts, influencers, innovators in the continent, with a 50% increase in urban dwellers projected by 2030, and its essential to prioritize efficient, sustainable, and inclusive cities that prioritize the well-being of their citizens. It will also provide a platform to address urbanization challenges and drive towards sustainable economic growth.

Dala Africa also cited the contribution and leadership displayed by Heritage Newspaper to support sustainability, Technology and people Centre urbanization.  “We would be honoured by your presence and participation alongside other colleagues and networks that will contribute to the summit’s reach and impact. And we would appreciate your confirmation by 15th August 2023, as we look forward to welcoming you to Kigali”, said Dala Africa in its invitation letter.
