Gov’t Pays WASSCE Fees For 2023
The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Ministry of Finance, has disbursed the sum of NLe45,192,624 to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) as exams fees for the 2023 West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). According to Government, this payment represents 50% of the total initial entries of 220,721 candidates that will take the exams.
Additionally, the Ministry has disbursed the sum of Nle12,050,446.55 to various Sierra Leone Missions abroad and the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, as stipend payments to 451 Sierra Leonean students pursuing various courses in Universities Worldwide.
