Former APC Flagbearer Aspirant Calls For Impartial Inquiry into Recent Failed Coup

Former Flagbearer aspirant of the All People’s Congress Party, Dr. Richard Konteh, has called for an impartial and unbiased investigation   of the attempted coup/security breach that occurred on November 26th, 2023. “While I  strongly condemn the ugly incident that happened on November 26, I also urge the Government to ensure that the investigations are conducted in unbiased manner and devoid of recriminations”, he said, adding that:  “We have to respect and uphold every citizen’s fundamental human rights and dignity even as we pursue justice and the rule of law”.

Dr. Konteh’s statement resonates a call for a fair play and impartial investigation of the failed coup and its message indicates a broader concern for the preservation of fundamental human rights and dignity during the investigation process.
