
Fatal Road Accident Claims Many Lives
The Traffic Management and Road Safety Department of the Waterloo Police Station is investigating a road accident that occurred on Wednesday 15th March 2023, along the Waterloo-Freetown highway (Bottom Mango, Waterloo) resulting in the death of four (4) persons, including three (3) school pupils (2) girls and 1 boy) aged 5,7, and 12 respectively and one (1) unidentified adult male.
The driver of the said vehicle, Mohamed Bobby Turay of 6 Gboro Road, Bumbuna, is in the custody of the Waterloo Police.
Five (5) other persons, including three (3) females and two (2) males, are in critical/ life-threatening conditions at the Waterloo Government Hospital.
The four (4) corpses have been conveyed to the Connaught Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations. Properties, including houses, were seriously damaged.
