Ebema, a splinter group headed by the First Lady, Mrs. Fatima Bio, has publicly expressed displeasure and cried foul over the outcome of the SLPP’s National Young Generation Leader election held in Bo city on June 21st,2025.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, Fatima Bio stated that the election was marred with irregularities and implicated the SLPP National Chairman Prince Harding and his Deputy for playing critical role to stage-managed and manipulate the electoral process in favor of the incumbent, Engineer Alpha Kallon.
“I don’t care whether Engineer Alpha Kallon or Maada Kemokai genuinely won the election; what displeased me is that a candidate was declared winner through a corrupt, staged-managed, and manipulated process”, she revealed.
She also voiced her concerns about the credibility of the election, stating that throughout the voting process, A4 papers were used in place of ballot papers.
“It’s shameful for SLPP, being the oldest political Party in the sub-region to use A4 papers as ballot papers in the conduct of the NYG election”, she disclosed and further asked why the SLPP didn’t print a certified ballot papers for the two aspirants, rather than using A4 papers as ballot.
Continuing to expose the electoral flaws, Ebema Leader stated that numerical figures were assigned to the two aspirants, with Maada Kemokai identified as number 1 and Engineer Kallon as number 2.
Clarifying the use of her military personnel to restore calm during the election, she stated that after Engineer Kallon’s personal security guard fired a live gunshot in the hall, she ordered her own security personnel to provide protection for the two aspirants and to remove her allies from the hall. She also accused Engineer Kallon of transporting over 50 security personnel into the hall to frighten her people.
However, Fatima Bio’s social media outburst came after Engineer Kallon was pronounced the winner of the election, despite allegations that she used her security personnel to distort the electoral outcome.
