Divine Sign Shows on Friday as… PortLoko Crowns Ady Macauley as “Champion of the Grassroots”

A divine sign clearly shown in PortLoko District on Friday 23rd May, 2025, when the leading APC Flagbearer aspirant, Ady Macauley, observed jummah prayers at his hometown.

The significant event captured widespread attention and support with many muslims and non-muslims endorsed his bid for the APC Flagbearer ticket and by extension the next President of Sierra Leone.

As a native son of Port Loko District, Ady Macauley received thunderous welcome by both Muslim and non-Muslim residents who gathered in large numbers to show their support and solidarity for him.  They also crowned him as “champion for the grassroots” in recognition of what he has done to help vulnerable people in times of difficulties.

Observers at the scene noted the electric atmosphere and described it as “breathtaking,” with many interpreting the moment as a divine sign.

“Allah has spoken,” one worshipper remarked, calling on the APC to heed the voices of the grassroots by choosing Ady Macauley as the party’s standard-bearer.

Among the crowd were individuals who had previously faced unjust arrests and court charges. They emotionally recounted how Ady Macauley’s timely interventions helped secure their release. Some, moved to tears, described him as a “champion of the grassroots,” highlighting his consistent advocacy for justice and fairness.

During a brief address, Macauley expressed gratitude for the warm reception and assured the people of Port Loko that he remains committed to serving their interests.

“I have heard your cries, and that is why I am contesting for the flagbearer position of the APC. This decision is not for my benefit alone but for the collective good of all,” he said.

He further shared his intention to meet with APC leaders in Port Loko, but emphasized the importance of first connecting with the people.

“I thought it wise to meet my people first,” he added.

The ceremony concluded with a solemn prayer for the nation, marking an emotional and inspiring day in Port Loko.
