President Bio has recently made a shocking change of Guards at SLBC and the Independent Media Commission with Josephine Kamara being appointed as the New Director General of SLBC and Joseph Kapuwa as the New IMC Chairman. No reason had been advanced by the President for such changes in the two Government parastatals.
Josephine is a development communications and journalism expert who started her career at SLBC and has worked for Voice of America, USAID and other institutions in various capacities.
The outgoing Director General of SLBC, Joseph Kapuwa has been named the new Chairman of the Independent Media Commission. Joseph is a lawyer and a communications professional who is expected to use his unique experiences to oversee and regulate the media landscape.
