An unidentified motorist (okada rider) was found dead with multiple wounds over the weekend in the Malembeh community in Waterloo.

According to the Spokesman of the Waterloo Police Station, ASP Allieu Jalloh, the lifeless body of the youth; within the age bracket of 25-30 years old was discovered lying on an isolated location leading to a farm.

“The body sustained stab wounds on the neck, throat, chest stomach, hand and also we discovered a knife and a Bluetooth player near the corpse”, the police spokesman confirmed to this medium.

He called on members of the public to furnish them with vital information leading to the arrest of whosoever is behind the animalistic act of sending an innocent youth to his grave.

Discovering the youth’s body, the Headman in the Malembeh community, Ibrahim Kargbo, wasted no time to report what could be referred to as a big surprise to the police who dashed to the crime scene although no suspect has been arrested.

The community was referred to as one of the most peaceful communities in the district with no major report against them except for the recent discovery of the unidentified rider.

Authorities within the Bike Riders Union in Waterloo have been asked to come forward to identify the corpse which awaits postmortem examination at the Connaught Hospital mortuary in Freetown.

However, similar reports of such matter of murder have reported to have taken place in other communities within the Western Rural District which have scared away some riders from the streets especially at night.

A rider in the district called Junior intimated this press that the reason he does not take passengers to isolated locations is a safety precaution he had nurtured because of the high spate of butchering of his colleagues.
