Bio To Challenge His U.S. Visa Ban

SierraLeone’s President His Excellency Julius Maada Bio has hired the service of a U.S based law firm, Ifrah Law to conduct an inquiry into the immigration status of President Bio with the U.S authorities.

Represented by John Torres, National Security adviser to President Bio, the U.S. law firm has formally notified the U.S Department of Justice about their mission to secure President Bio’s Alien File, comprehensively review its contents, examine any relevant litigation from the Immigration Court, and assess the potential for relief.

This decision to investigate and evaluate President Bio immigration status reflects a strategic move by the SierraLeonean Government to ensure transparency and address any pertinent legal considerations.

Jerry Torres, a seasoned U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, was hired in August to generally advise and assist President Bio and his government to strengthen its political relations with the United States of America.

It could be recalled that prior to his 2018 election victory, Bio wasn’t eligible for entry into the U.S, but his status changed when he became President as the UN charter and the Vienna Convention automatically deactivated his US immigration ban.

Many are asserting that there is possibility for Bio immigration ban to be reactivated whenever he leaves office, thus becoming ineligible again to enter the U.S.
