Rokel Bank Wins Inter-Bank Football Gala
On Saturday 4th March, 2023, The Rokel Commercial Bank defeated the Union Trust Bank in the just concluded Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) 50th anniversary football gala organized for commercial banks in Sierra Leone.
The match was played at the Police Training School in Kingtom. The match was like a clash of the titans but the players of RCBank was able to subdue their opponent through a penalty. The match ended in full ninety minutes with goal apiece and was later settled by post-match penalties which RCBank won by 5 goals to 4. The RC Bank’s goalkeeper Lamin Kabia of the Admin Department was able to saved UTB’s last penalty kick to give the trophy to RCBank & sending RCBank’s MD, along with other senior management and junior staff into rapturous celebrations. Congratulations to RC Bank, the Bank of Choice.
The trophy will be presented to the Bank on Saturday 11th March, 2023.
It is important to note that the football gala has helped to strengthen the relationship between RCBank and its sister financial institutions in SierraLeone.
