APC Clarifies Sam-Sumana’s Status Within Party

By Vos Writer

The Secretary General of the All People’s Congress (APC), Lansana Dumbuya, has provided clarification regarding the membership and eligibility status of Chief Sam-Sumana under the APC Constitution.

Speaking on the matter, Dumbuya referenced Section 13 of the party’s constitution, which outlines the procedures for the readmission of suspended or expelled members. He emphasized that the party is guided strictly by its internal rules and legal precedents.

“The APC will not act in contradiction to the ruling of Justice Fisher. Unless that judgment is overturned, the party is bound to respect it,” Dumbuya stated.

The APC Secretary General further stressed that the party has no personal grievances against Chief Sam-Sumana, and that any decision concerning his status or eligibility for leadership will be made in accordance with due process and the provisions of the party’s constitution.

“This is not about personal feelings. It is about following the rules and ensuring the integrity of the party’s processes,” he added.

The clarification comes amid growing speculation surrounding Sam-Sumana’s potential return to frontline politics and his possible involvement in future party leadership contests.
