Air Salone Accused of Tampering with Passenger’s Baggage

A passenger who recently traveled from London to Freetown has expressed serious concern over the alleged tampering of his baggage, which resulted in the loss of valuable personal items, including mobile phones, a camera, and several perfumes.
According to the passenger, his baggage arrived in Sierra Leone more than a week after his own arrival. Upon collecting the luggage at the Air Salone office in Freetown, he discovered that one of his bags—previously wrapped in protective plastic—had been untied and tampered with. As a result, two mobile phones, a camera, and multiple perfumes were missing.
Speaking on the incident, the passenger stated, “My baggage was tampered with by Air Salone. I had a very bad experience traveling with this airline.”
The incident has raised concerns about baggage handling and passenger security, prompting calls for Air Salone to investigate the matter and strengthen its luggage handling procedures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
