AADY MACAULEY: THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE FOR A NEW APC DAWN

As the race for the All People’s Congress (APC) 2026 flagbearership intensifies, a rising tide of public sentiment appears to be sweeping in favor of one name Ady Macauley. Beyond declarations and political fanfare, Sierra Leoneans are turning their hopes toward a man they believe can restore credibility, discipline, and a people-first agenda to the party: a man they describe as clean, courageous, and connected to the grassroots.

While political heavyweights like Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, Hon. Osman Timbo, and Dr. Richard Conteh have declared their ambitions, it is Ady Macauley who is resonating most with the youth, the disenfranchised, and those calling for a fresh start.

From his active engagement with the National Youth Commission (NYC) to his consistent outreach during holy seasons like Ramadan and Lent, Macauley has built not just political capital but human trust.

“He doesn’t just talk about change, he acts it. That’s the kind of leader we need,” said Joe Williams, a youth activist in Freetown.

Macauley’s influence isn’t confined to national borders. His international accolades, including a recent humanitarian award presented at the House of Lords in London, cement his reputation as a globally recognized human rights defender. These achievements elevate his candidacy beyond traditional political metrics bringing in a vision of APC that aligns with transparency, justice, and reform.

“Ady Macauley is not just a politician he’s a movement,” remarked Mohamed Kamara from Bo.

As the APC seeks to reposition itself ahead of 2028, voices within and outside the party echo one sentiment: “We want a leader who reflects our values, not just our votes.” For many, Ady Macauley fits that mold.
