APC’s Running Mate: Sam-Sumana On top of the Race

Insider sources of the All People’s Congress(APC) party have confided in Voice of Salone Newspaper that Sam-Sumana is on top of the race for the APC’s running mate position. It is stated that all is now set for Sam-Sumana to be appointed as the running mate to Samura Kamara.
This Press has reliably learnt that cross section of the leadership of the APC has agreed to appoint Sam-Sumana as the running mate to Samura Kamara because of his strong political base than his rivals who have expressed interest for the position. “We have arrived at the conclusion that appointing Sam-Sumana as running mate to Samura Kamara will give APC a resounding victory in the June 24 Presidential Elections”, a strong APC Members revealed to this press, noting that Samura/Sam-sumana will make a good team for the APC to win the next elections. According to them, if Sam-Sumana is appointed as the running mate, 80% of the Kono Votes will go the APC and that the party will make significant inroads in the strongholds of the SLPP which will eventually cause the APC to defeat the SLPP in the June 24 Presidential polls.
Senior Stakeholders of Kono say that if Sam-sumana is appointed as the APC running mate, Kono will return back to the APC. “With Sam-Sumana as APC running mate, Kono will return back to the APC and that will be manifested through the ballot box”, a senior stakeholder of Kono told Voice of Salone Newspaper on Monday.
As things stand right now for the APC’s running mate position, 5 Individuals have expressed their intention. They are Chernor Maju Bah, Mohamed Kamara aka Jagaban, Yvonne Aki-Sawyer, Sam-Sumana and Madina Rahman.
Because of the many faces that showed interest for the position, it makes the battle to be fierce as the various contenders are now mounting a robust campaign to show their loyalty to the APC Standard bearer. There are a ot of positive write-ups coming in support of Chernor Maju Bah, Mohamed Kamara to woo the APC Standard bearer that their allegiance is with him.
Mohamed Kamara alias Jagaban has used his wealth to create impact and paved his way for the position, whilst Chernor Maju Bah(Chericoco) has used his popularity and experience in governance to showcase that he is the fittest for the position.
Whilst the rivalry campaign has intensified between Mohamed Kamara and Chericoco; Sam-Sumana has taken a different drive to engage stakeholders of the APC who has a stake to influence decision in the party. Sam-Sumana has held several meetings with the movers and shakers of the APC with a positive outcome and hope that he will be chosen as the APC’s running mate for obvious reason.
