Six Qnet Staff including Santigie Kindo Kamara, David Kabba Samura, Mohamed Kargbo, Alie Conteh, Foday James Kamara and Bundu Kamara has on Friday 25th August,2023 being remanded for fraud by Magistrate Isatu Sellu Tucker.
The trio were arraigned before Magistrate Tucker of Court No.2 Pademba Road Court on three count charges ranging from conspiracy to defraud and obtaining money by false pretense among other crime contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the charge sheet, count 1 states that all the accused persons between 2nd February and 17th August 2023, at Freetown conspired together with other person unknown to commit a crime to wit obtaining money by false pretense.
Count 2 indicates that Santigie Kindo Kamara on the 10th July 2023 at Freetown, with intent to defraud obtained the sum of one thousand four hundred Leones from Mohamed Barrie on the pretext that he will facilitate his traveling to the United States of America which is known to be false.
Count 3 further states that the same accused between 1st-28th April 2023 at Freetown with intent to defraud obtained the sum of ten thousand five hundred Leones from Jeneba Conteh on the pretext that he will facilitate the traveling of her son Joshua Conteh to Malaysia to study, a promise known to be false.
The Prosecutor of the matter was S.I Bonah.
All accused were remanded until the 28 August 2023.
