3 Police Officers Killed in Road Accident, One Hospitalised

The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has confirmed the death of three police officers following a road traffic accident that occurred during a routine operation along the Masiaka–Mile 91 Highway. One other officer sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
The police have dismissed reports suggesting that the officers were part of a presidential convoy, clarifying that the victims were engaged in their normal operational duties at the time of the tragic incident.
Speaking to the press, the Director of Operations and Assistant Inspector General of Police, Dr. John Martin Senesie, firmly stated that the deceased officers were not attached to any presidential movement, emphasizing that they were on duty carrying out their assigned responsibilities when the accident occurred.
In a separate briefing, the Head of the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU), Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Rev. Michael Laggah, provided updates on ongoing investigations, during which apprehended suspects and recovered exhibits were presented to the media.
The briefing concluded with remarks from the Head of Media and Public Relations, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Brima Kamara, Esq., who summarized nationwide enforcement operations conducted over the past two weeks.
The Sierra Leone Police reaffirmed their commitment to public safety, professionalism, and transparency, as they continue to protect lives and property across the country.
